2025 Kia K8 Receives New Refresh

The 2025 Kia K8 is set to arrive with a brand-new refresh. After several years of success, the sedan will receive a mid-cycle update focused on the K8’s appearance. The Kia K8 was initially a replacement for the K7 which was last seen in US markets in 2020. Having taken the torch from the K7, Kia’s K8 sedan has dominated the South Korean market with its elegant design and impressive capability. Now Kia is updating the sedan elevating its style with some cues from the all-electric Kia EV9. It’s not clear if the mid-size sedan will make its way to American markets but nevertheless, we’ll take a look at the 2025 Kia K8 and see what consumers can expect. 

2025 Kia K8 Arrives With New Facelift

The 2025 Kia K8 is expected to arrive with brand-new styling. Kia recently released a teaser trailer for the sedan showcasing its new updates. While the South Korean automaker did not give much away, the trailer provides us with glimpses of the K8’s new appearance. The mid-size sedan features new LED headlights which draw inspiration from the all-electric EV9. The K8 now features an LED bar on its front grille that complements its vertical daytime running lights. Kia has also redesigned the sedan’s hood and front bumper giving it a larger lower intake. At the rear, the K8 once again draws inspiration from the EV9 with new LED taillights that are thinner and wider. The sedan also has a redesigned rear bumper that slopes into the roofline.

For interior updates, we expect Kia to add some new styling elements. Inside, the sedan features dual 12.3-inch display screens as well as a 12-inch heads-up display. We’re still waiting on interior photos but in terms of performance, we expect the Kia K8 to offer the same powertrain options. These include a 2.5L and a 3.5L V6 engine. Kia also offers a hybrid powertrain option. Front-wheel drive is standard with the option for all-wheel drive. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard. The 2025 Kia K8 is expected to start at an MSRP of about $25,000 (plus destination fee) however it’s still unclear if the sedan will make its way overseas.
