2025 Kia Carnival Receives New Refresh
The 2025 Kia Carnival arrives with a brand-new refresh. Kia has given the minivan new exterior styling and updated its infotainment system. These improvements help keep the Kia Carnival relevant in a sea of SUVs. To compete, Kia has designed its iconic minivan based on one of its latest EVs, the Kia EV9. With its new front grille, wheels, and lower body panels, the Kia Carnival now resembles an SUV. A hybrid version of the minivan is also available which makes sense given Kia’s stance on EVs. The South Korean automaker has been steadily releasing new and innovative EVs like the EV3. New hybrids have become readily available as well. For now, we’ll take a look at the new 2025 Kia Carnival and see what consumers can expect.
2025 Kia Carnival Has A New Look
The 2025 Kia Carnival arrives with a brand-new look. The minivan resembles an SUV, specifically Kia’s latest EV9, with its new exterior styling. The Carnival’s new design affects its entire front profile including its grille and headlights. The minivan also features new wheels, lower body panels, and taillights. These changes aim to entice consumers to consider the more family-oriented Carnival as opposed to a different SUV. The new appearance is a vibrant change that keeps the minivan fresh and relevant.
Inside the 2025 Carnival, owners will find a slightly different cabin. Kia has revised the center console changing the position of the climate controls. Owners will also find a newly updated infotainment system that comes equipped with new driver-assist features. A dual 12.3-inch display serves as the digital gauge cluster and infotainment screen. Drivers can take advantage of features like a blind-spot monitor, a 360-degree surround view mirror, and a voice assistant. The minivan keeps its spacious cabin offering seating for up to 8 passengers. Storage can be found throughout the minivan and there’s up to 86.9 cubic feet of space with the third-row seats folded down. A panoramic sunroof also creates an airy atmosphere.
For performance, the 2025 Kia Carnival features a 3.5L V6 engine that delivers 287 horsepower. This is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is the only powertrain option. Despite its larger size, the minivan handles well and provides a smooth ride. A hybrid option is available for those consumers wanting peak fuel efficiency. The hybrid Carnival combines a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to deliver 242 horsepower. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard. Features like E-Ride and E-Handling aid drivers by controlling acceleration and in the case of emergencies, they can perform evasive maneuvers. The hybrid 2025 Kia Carnival starts at an MSRP of $41,895 (plus destination fee). The non-hybrid version starts at an MSRP of $37,895 (plus destination fee). Whichever consumers choose, Kia’s new refresh elevates the 2025 Carnival with improved capability and versatility.
