New Changes Arrive For Kia’s 2024 Lineup
Kia is making new changes to its 2024 lineup. As of late, the South Korean automaker has been mainly focused on crossovers which is justifiable given the demand for large, reliable, and safe vehicles. Consumers favoring practicality and reliability have led to many automakers aiming for SUVs over strict sedans. Fortunately, Kia is not saying goodbye to its car segment yet. In fact, the automaker will be improving several sedans in its 2024 lineup including the Kia Forte and Kia K5. The Kia Carnival will also see some minor changes. We’ll take a closer look at these changes and see what consumers can expect.
New Changes To 2024 Kia Lineup
Kia is making several new updates to its 2024 lineup. The South Korean automaker will make changes to its sedan segment and to one vehicle in its SUV segment. While these changes may seem relatively minor, the automaker will make more notable changes as we approach 2025. First up is the 2024 Kia Forte. The compact sedan will see the addition of adaptive cruise control on its GT-Line trim. This sharp and sporty trim adds an extra layer of performance to the practical and reliable sedan. Additional updates include safety features like lane keep assist and front automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. These features will now come standard rather than being bundled in a tech package.
Other vehicles seeing changes include the Kia K5 and Kia Carnival. Affordable and practical, the Kia K5 will be getting heated front seats as standard equipment on the GT-Line trim. While not a significant change, Kia is making small improvements that will improve driver comfort. More drastic changes including a thorough styling refresh should be in store for the midsize sedan in 2025. As for the Kia Carnival, the family minivan will also see minor changes. These include the EX trim seeing the removal of its Power Tailgate Delete package. The family SUV will also have its one-touch window feature removed. The Kia Carnival should see more significant changes in 2025.
Speaking of the 2025 model year, recent spy shots indicate that Kia may be working on a new small sedan. Rumors are hinting that it may be called the Kia K4. Looking at the spy shots, we see the sedan’s edgy styling and hatchback cargo area which somewhat resembles the Kia Stinger. While information is still scarce, this may be a replacement for the Kia Forte. For now, we will stay tuned for more information. As for the 2024 Kia Forte, it starts at an MSRP of $19,790 (plus destination fee). The 2024 Kia K5 and Kia Carnival start at MSRPs of $23,790 (plus plus destination fee) and $33,200 (plus destination fee) respectively.
