Kia recently unveiled a new concept sedan called the EV4. The all-electric sedan draws inspiration from the Kia Stinger with an extra layer of futuristic elements. Lately, Kia has been improving its EV lineup adding new models like the EV6 and EV9. These EVs have seen immense success despite the sector’s overall decline in EV demand. With its latest concept, Kia is appealing to a wider audience by offering an electric four-door sedan. Though the Kia EV4 is only a concept, it gives us an idea of where Kia is headed with its next EV. We’ll take a closer look at the Kia EV4 concept and see what consumers can expect.

What To Expect From The All-New Kia EV4

Kia recently unveiled a new concept sedan called the EV4. The all-electric sedan is still in its early stages but will likely be Kia’s upcoming EV. The sedan appears to draw inspiration from the Kia Stinger. Slotted into Kia’s EV lineup, the EV4 promises to be a versatile and capable sedan. Kia showed off the concept sedan at its EV Day event. The EV4 resembles the EV6 with its slim and angular features however its hatch rear end gives it a distinct look of its own.

At its EV event, Kia stated that the EV4 would be a new type of electric sedan. With the EV4, we may see advanced technology and features incorporated into the sedan. Kia has a vision for its EV lineup and the EV4 is set to represent it. We’ve seen a barebones prototype of the electric sedan, but consumers can expect something similar to the EV9’s cabin with a dual-screen display serving as the digital gauge cluster and infotainment screen.

As for the overall performance of the EV4, we know that Kia and Hyundai have been developing a new platform for future EVs. This platform targets range and charging efficiency so it’s likely the EV4 may have greater battery capacity than Kia’s current EVs. It may also have a significantly lower charge time. The EV6 for example charges from 10 percent to 80 percent in 18 minutes when using a high-speed DC charger. Depending on the new E-platform, this time could be drastically reduced giving owners greater efficiency. This would entice more consumers to consider making the switch to EVs. For now, we’ll be staying tuned for more updates about the all-new Kia EV4.
