All-Electric 2024 Kia EV9 Arrives With Unique Sound System

The 2024 Kia EV9 has arrived as an all-electric three-row SUV. Meridian Audio chief executive John Buchanan commented on the system stating:

“Based on the success of our current collaborations, Kia challenged us to engineer an immersive surround sound system that will enhance the luxury experience for all occupants,” said Buchanan. “Kia wanted to retain the design purity of the EV9 concept car, so we worked closely with their design team from an early stage to ensure this could be delivered without affecting audio quality, cost, or manufacturability.”

In developing the Kia EV9’s audio system, Meridian incorporated Digital Signal Processing technology to create an immersive acoustic environment. EVs differ from combustion vehicles in that they feature more complex noises and sounds. To remedy this, Meridian engineers considered numerous factors such as vehicle speed and road characteristics. The end product was a precise audio system that provides exceptional performance affecting each seat in the electric SUV. Starting at an MSRP of $54,900 (plus destination fee), the 2024 Kia EV9 proves to be an impressive three-row SUV with a remarkable sound system.
